One of YorkCounts' primary responsibilities has been to generate insightful reports that either assess conditions in York County or put forth recommendations toward sustaining and enhancing our quality of life. Metro-York
Two-year effort aimed at recommending ways to improve municipal finances and education in the heart of York County. Final report released in November 2007.


30 Ready Solutions
Also known as the "YorkCounts Action Plan," this report lists 30 ready solutions, or community improvement ideas, upon which various agencies and groups could choose to build. Our page keeps tabs on the progress of all 30 -- and links to the original full work product. Final report released in February 2004.


Indicators
How is York County doing? YorkCounts keeps tabs on dozens of measures of our quality of life. Our page presents the current (or most recent) figures for each -- and links to the full original work products. First report released in 2001; update released in March 2006.

 CEDS
CEDS stands for Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy. YorkCounts' Economic Development Task Force, having formed a Compact with the York County Economic Development Corporation, commissioned this work toward establishing a blueprint for driving forward the York County economy. The strategy includes an assessment of existing conditions, the identification of key industry clusters and sectors, physical development opportunities and a detailed action plan. Final report released in October 2003.


Education Summit
YorkCounts formed a compact with Penn State York to convene the first all-county education summit. Report released shortly after the October 2006 event.
